Fac recording studio logo

The client insisted that it was to be black and yellow and that i test out a wood grain effect to relate to the wooden instruments used. This is the first initial idea i shall be showing to my client today to progress it further.



When looking at type that relates to folk i found it would be a more decorative style and quite feminine. So i came up with this hand rendered type for the initial idea of this logo.


I wanted to make the logo reflect the non formal aspect of folk style and to include a folk instrument so it can be instantly linked...
